Location of Greek Literature

I designed this map as my final project for my introductory cartography course. I wanted to foucs on color and style, with only limited content. The three main colors: rose, purple, and blue-grey come directly from Homeric epithets. I polled classics students to determine what color they imagined when hearing the phrases "Wine-Dark Sea," "Bright-Eyed Athena," and "Rosy-Fingered Dawn." Combining these ideas, I styled my map around these colors.
